Alorah Roussel (she/her)
Capacity Development Specialist
alorah.roussel@weareAurelia.ca

Alorah grew up in southern Ontario. She is the oldest sister of younger brothers, which explains her Type A personality and ability to handle crises. After deciding she really isn’t a city person at all she picked up and moved to St. John’s for school.
Over the past several years, Alorah has had many opportunities to work in the Child and Youth Care field. She has worked in daycares, schools, camps, and in residential care settings. Alorah has also worked with the Association for New Canadians and with the Learning Disabilities Association. In her work at Aurelia, she likes to analyze policies, review documentation and support management.
Alorah enjoys cooking, hiking, and tending to her garden (which was supposed to be a pandemic hobby, but has kind of taken over her life). In her free time, she can be found hitting up local craft fairs and farmer's markets. She is fiercely academic and often jokes that she'd like to be in school for the rest of her life. She is currently in graduate school, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University.
