CFS CAPITAL INFRASTRUCTURE
The landscape of human services in Indigenous communities is shifting rapidly in Canada. With capital project funding for child and family services now available for the first time, Aurelia is ready to support your capital development process from needs assessment and proposal development to successful project completion.
The recently updated levels of funding available to First Nations child and family serving agencies has enabled the development of community-based, culturally appropriate programs and prevention services focused on keeping children in their home communities and connected to families wherever possible. However, the absence of capital funding to support this expansion has led to a lack of suitable and adequate physical space from which the programs and services can operate.
In late 2021, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal (CHRT) released Order 41, an order to fund the purchase and construction of capital assets for the delivery of First Nations child and family services or for the delivery of services under Jordan’s Principle.
What this order means for your community depends on your current infrastructure and your needs. That’s where Aurelia comes in. With years of experience working with human service providers in underserved, remote communities, and our qualified project managers, we’re positioned to guide you through the process of assessing and requesting what it is you need to serve the most vulnerable members of your community.
Aurelia can offer:
In addition, Aurelia can provide a Proposal Development service through which we prepare the proposal itself together with an accompanying budget. We can provide this as a stand alone service or collaboratively as a member of your larger planning team. Guiding your organization and community through the federal funding process, from proposal creation to completion and all the points in between, Aurelia can support the creation of unique spaces that will enable your child and family services and programs to develop and thrive.
